Dokua Smith foundation (DSF) is an IRS 501 (c)(3) public benefit nonprofit corporation. The sole mission of the Foundation is to raise, manage and distribute funds to provide education scholarships to refugee children in San Diego county. All gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible and can be made in memory or honor of a loved one. The Foundation sponsors fund-raising events throughout the year as well as ongoing campaigns and projects for specific needs for DSF. Gladys Dokua Smith was born Oheneba Dokua Dokyi to the Royal house of Kukurantumi, a small village in the Eastern region of Ghana. She advocated for education as the cornerstone to the well being and success of an individual. DSF intends to support the refugee children who are going to be part of the future of San Diego. It is our hope that the scholarship will help them achieve success. Please donate $3.65 a year. That is only one cent a day.
